About Me

I have lived in the 38th district since 1990 with my husband, a retired IBEW member, and my two children who are all grown up and making their mama proud. My husband and I operate a commercial horse farm with success at state and national levels. I actively support local businesses and my community. I've worked with a variety of area organizations including 4H, FFA, the Democratic party, and Ottawa and Grundy Indivisible groups. My family and I are active members of the Christ Episcopal Church of Ottawa.

With hard work and a lot of perseverance my husband and I have navigated some bumpy roads and managed to carve out a life for ourselves here in LaSalle County. But it's never been easy, and my decision to enter this campaign was a game-changer for my whole family.

The tractor you see here is the 1944 Ford 8N Tractor my husband was going to restore for tractor shows. We sold it to finance the start of my campaign.

Recently we picked up a stack of yard signs for my campaign. It would be a real honor to park one of them in your front yard!

Your Home, My Home, Our District

I love living in Illinois, and I found out that most of us here in the 38th do too. We're proud of where we live, and we want the best for ourselves, our families, our friends and neighbors.

The 38th is a BIG district, and my volunteers and I covered a lot of ground gathering signatures for my Democratic primary petitions. As I walked the district, I listened carefully to the folks I met. More than ever, I am fully committed to work for their interests - for YOUR interests - in Springfield.
